Jose Garcia-Cuellar is a Doctoral Student and the owner of Own Your Happiness, a private practice for therapy and coaching. He helps empower people during tough transitions in their lives and aids them in healing. Jose has been a public speaker for over four years and is the president of the non-profit (National Military Empowerment Organization) that help veterans and their families during the military to civilian transition once they leave service.

Jose is a Mexican immigrant who rose from a childhood of poverty and was the first member of his family to go to college. Once he'd completed grad school, Jose spent months homeless and in between residences. He filled his days at the public library studying for his license exam, determined to keep moving forward.

Today, Jose is a licensed clinical social worker-supervisor who has helped hundreds of people achieve happiness. Jose's passion is aiding others in overcoming challenges in their lives. When he created a plan for helping his clients eradicate guilt, he knew it was a tool he had to share. He sought a format that would allow others to benefit from and implement his ideas. Jose decided to try his hand at writing, and it was then the idea for his book The Guilt Intervention was born. Though Jose spends most of his time working, he has a passion for learning that plays well into his lifestyle.
